Happy Feet!
I adore fashion blogger, Ashley Madekwe of Ring My Bell. Her personal style is feminine with a little bit of sass and edge at the same time...Well, I loved these boots she bought from TopShop and to my surprise, they had my size online! I've been looking for a pair of Chelsea boots for awhile. These are even better because of the little heel height for that extra oomph! but not too much to be uncomfortable. These boots have been compared to be the much more expensive Acne Pistol Boots, but with 114 positive reviews and the lower price point, it sounds 100x better!

Any bloggers out there from Chicago? Or anyone out there who has travelled there before?
I am heading to Chicago during the first week of May and would greatly appreciate advice on what to see, places to eat, and of course, where to shop!
Thank you lovelies!

Happy Girls Day!
Little Japanese Girls excitedly look forward to their day, Hina Matsuri (Girls Day). On this special day, girls can have their own little party with no boys allowed! This observance on March 3rd is held by families in hopes that their little girls will grow up in good health.
I spent my Girl's Day doing what I love...refilling my eyelash extensions and shopping. I purchased three gorgeous pieces from one of my favorite boutiques, Dolce. I suckered myself into buying the Winter Kate Condor cardigan and the bali sweatshirt from Nation LTD. I also bought a sexy gold snake ring.

Night Owl
I've been working permanent night shifts at the hospital since January. Its great on one hand, because I get paid a differential...which ends up being about $300 more a month. Any extra income is much needed because I now have a mortgage to pay, graduate school to save for, a puppy to feed, and a costly addiction of eyelash extensions.
I kind of miss not having financial responsibilities...when I could go to all my favorite boutiques and purchase anything I wanted. No worries about being able to pay other bills on top of my shopping bill. (Sigh..)
I've been a really good girl about watching my budget. I have no credit card debt and am able to make an extra payment on my mortgage so it will be paid off in approximately 25 years instead of 30. I even applied for an on-call position at a local hospital to help me save more a little quicker.
To give myself a pat on the back, I made a few purchases in the past few weeks to include:
1) Mini Metal Mother of Pearl White Toy Watch ($150 on Gilt.com). What a deal! I have 3 other toy watches and paid at least $275 for each!
Nordstrom sells the exact same watch for $250!

2) Pink Scalloped Shorts

I found these on Ebay, thanks to Lena from Quality Rivets. I've been looking for scalloped shorts for a long time and I couldn't pass up the price ($35) and the color (pink). Perfect combo of Girly-ness.
And this is one of the very reasons why I work so hard...to come home to my little baby, Mochi!

So many changes in so little time!
Guess what?! Im no longer in the Army! My out date was on May 1st, 2010. I have been waiting for this moment even before I started my first day of active duty commitment. Well, a lot has changed since I got back from Iraq at the end of January. In just 3 months, I have found the love of my life, bought a brand new car (Lexus baby!), and starting a new position as a NSPS nurse at Tripler ($$$!). I need all the $$$ I can get for my very expensive and addictive beauty indulgence of eyelash extensions =) Well, there be much more blogs to come with the great start of this new chapter in my life! Until then, Ciao!

We all miss sushi!
Fresh fish in a Iraq??? Thats a big NO! The best we can get here is cooked crab legs, crab cakes, baked salmon, and pollock. I am ready for some ahi sashimi!!!! and a Kirin or Asahi beer to go with it.
Below are pics of a set of sushi erasers that my friend Eric sent in a care package. My co-workers were having a ball lining up which one they would eat first...that is if they were real!
Care Packages!
I am so thankful to have such great family and friends back home. I have gotten a package about every month from my mom alone. She has sent me things from fashion magazines to pajamas! She is the best! I have to thank some other friends - Leslie: I love the Hello Kitty Pillow. I love it so much that Im keeping it in the plastic wrapping so the dust wont get to it! haha. Jen & Dan - thank you for all the Korean noodle bowls! They are keeping me very warm. Nancy - I loved all the Hawaiian goodies and my co-workers loved that Pineapple Kettle Popcorn! I am wearing the pink shirt you sent. Eric - Everyone on my unit adores those sushi erasers! and I have already watched The House of Flying Daggers.

Welcome to COB Speicher
Farewell to New Friends
The 47th Combat Support Hospital supports three locations in Iraq: Mosul, Tikrit, and Al Asad. Our group that travelled from Georgia to Kuwait finally had to split up and go to our assigned destinations. The pictures shown above are of all of us saying farewell and safe travels to our buddies heading off to to Mosul. It was hard for me to say goodbye to LT Sabas - she was so kind and a great battle buddy! We plan to Skype with each other and she's going to visit me in Hawaii one day. The Tikrit group (my group) was the last to leave.

Time for Chow!
I was shocked to find out that many American fast food chains made its way to Kuwait. I found: Taco Bell, Burger King, Baskin Robins, Starbucks, Green Bean Coffee, and Panda Express. If you're ever at Camp Buehring, I recommend you trying the beef bugolgi from Panda Express...it is delicious!
It was also nice to see some color while strolling from place to place. Many groups stationed here left their mark by painting on the T-walls. You'll find these walls everywhere in theater. They are intended to protect weaker structures within it from high velocity blasts.
